If you are a close follower of the Giro d’ Italia that happens every year in Italy, then on this page you will find relevant news on your favourite riders and teams participating. This year is going to be huge, with plenty of big names arriving at the start line and ready to stir the audiences, so here’s the place where you’ll find Giro dItalia results and the general classification.

Italy’s Vincenzo Nabali, a True Icon of the Event

Ever since its foundation in 1909, the Tour of Italy bicycle tournament has managed to attract racers from across Europe like its other European counterpart the Tour De France; which according to history, inspired the first Giro d Italia results to be made public, guiding the event to become a commercial one. The first foreigner to win the Giro d’ Italia is Swiss Hugo Koblet in 1950. In recent years, we have seen the pink jersey remain home but it was last year when he took it off the back of Esteban Chaves in the Estonian mountain.

Giro d’ Italia’s 2018 100th Anniversary

This will be a tribute to past racers that have been the backbone of the tourney since its advent in the 1900’s by an Italian newspaper called La Gazetta. It featured riders like Luigi Ganna who went on to take the 5300 Italian liras which wasn’t a bad looking sum in the post WW1 era. This year’s Giro d Italia 2018 results will be in honour of such greats as Luigi and Carlo Galetti.
